Upcoming events at the Spruce Home Activity Centre

The Spruce Home Activity Centre is buzzing with excitement as it readies for a busy coming few months. Check out Karen’s latest video for details!

Community events for central Saskatchewan || September 20 to October 5, 2025

Light and Lumber Rustic Market September 20th 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Shellbrook Elks Sport Grounds, Shellbrook, Saskatchewan. Free public admission but there will be a donation box.  


Wes Petterson Memorial Car Show & Day in the Park September 20 - all day Pancake brunch 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Car Show 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. BBQ Supper 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Free Family Dance 7 p.m. - 1 a.m. Location: Weldon Auditorium  


Spruce Home Activity Centre Presents: Wings & Sings Karaoke & Good Grub September 26 from 8 p.m. - 12 a.m. Cash only event  


Christopher Lake Library Poetry Reading: John Brady McDonald September 27 at 7 p.m. John Brady McDonald will be reading from “What Shade of Brown”  


Spruce Home Activity Centre Presents Pancake Breakfast September 28 from 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Adults $10 & Kids (5-12) $5 Location: Spruce Home Activity Centre  


Brancepeth Community Hall Fall Supper September 28 at 5 p.m. Adults $25 & kids $10. (Under 6 is free) Location: Brancepeth Community Hall  


Weirdale Community Hall Fall Supper October 5 4:30 p.m. seating & 6 p.m. seating.  Takeout available at 4 p.m. Advance tickets only. Call/text Beverly 306-940-7108 e-transfer to weirdalech@gmail.com

Back to Batoche and Ag in Motion both take place mid July

Karen stopped by a museum and Wally’s Tire shop in Glaslyn to film this video, to let you know about two upcoming events.  


Back to Batoche, is an annual event to celebrate Metis culture and takes place July 17-20th.  Visit: www.metisgathering.ca/back-to-batoche  


The second event is, Ag in Motion, which will take place in  Langham, Saskatchewan, from July 15-17th.  Visit: www.aginmotion.ca
